Asbury United Methodist Church

Use the form on the right to ask that  Asbury UMC help forward a word of praise to God, or a thanksgiving for God's bounty, or a request for prayer. (Of course, you can always call the office or send e-mail--see the Contacts Page.)

CONFIDENTIALITY: When you use this form, your electronic request is forwarded to the Pastor and church staff. Volunteers and the congregation DO NOT have access to your forwarded request. Nevertheless, if you need total confidentiality, please DO NOT use this form; call or visit the pastor.

Once processed by the Pastor and staff, praises, prayers, and thanksgivings are shared with appropriate Asbury prayer groups and the congregation unless you specify otherwise. Use the "Special request..." space to further protect your privacy, or the privacy of the individual who is the subject of the prayer. 

FILLING OUT THE FORM

Only two items marked with an asterisk (*) are REQUIRED. You can omit much or all identifying information to the right, but entering some information is recommended in case the Pastor or staff needs to contact you about this request. Consider: entirely-anonymous requests may be delayed for review.

Please enter the text of your request in the space The Text of your Prayer, Praise or Thanksgiving. Examples: "John Doe traveling to Denver;" or "this is SUCH a lovely week;" or "My co-worker FINALLY found a way to get to work next month;" or "Sally Smith surgery Tuesday morning."

Use the Special request or concern space for addtional messages, such as: "Pastor, please keep this one to yourself;" or "Please keep my name out of this prayer;" or "Let's make sure John knows we're raising him up, as a spiritual lift for him;" or "Pastor, I don't know if this is 'praise' or 'thanksgiving'. Will you make it right?"
